Certainly the pacing and editing are leagues better than the choppy first movie. It felt like the writers never committed to a story line. The romance felt weak. I like all the drama between Miraz and Caspian, the killing of his family, the fleeing in the middle of the night, this is really good adult drama and it was brushed aside in favor of a huge battle scene that look a lot like the battle scene in Lion. The hag scene was great and while I would have liked the theological debate that occurs in the book the scene NEEDED it. Something felt missing there and there was. Pretty much dead on what I thought when I watched it. I thought the first one was a little better myself but the 2nd is still a good family type film.
